Diana Lynn Sherman, age 73, passed away on March 19, 2025, after an acute illness. She was the daughter of Robert L Sherman and Rebecca Guilds Sherman Outman. Diana was the eldest of nine which proved to mold her into a person who always stuck up for the underdog. Even though she resided in several different locations throughout her life, her heart always yearned for home (Potter County). She didn't mince words or sugar coat things. She took great pride in her dedication and work ethic. Her most fulfilling job was being a traveling photographer for a large chain store.
She loved playing games. She and her life-long friend, Kay, would often play Scrabble way into the wee hours of the morning. If the family ever beat Diana in a game, they had great fun lording it over her.
Diana never missed a chance to boogie to her favorite tune "Play that funky music" by Wild Cherry. When her legs wouldn't let her, she would dance from her chair.
She had a sweet tooth that wouldn't quit. Her candy dish was never empty and always included Reese Cups and Mounds.
Diana was an avid pet lover. The pups at Silver Maples searched her out, knowing that she had treats in her rollator basket for them.
Diana is survived by 2 daughters Nickole Tray of Green Lane, PA and Susan Williams of Genesee, PA. 5 granddaughters and 1 grandson,1 great grandson and 1 great granddaughter. Above all, her most cherished possession was her family, and her home clearly portrayed her devotion to them.
Abiding with Diana's wishes, there will be no services; She wanted a party. The party will be held at a later date.
