Diane Marie Bainbridge

Diane Marie Bainbridge (née Wharton), age 82, passed away peacefully to her heavenly home on October 18, 2025, in her home with her family by her side on Springfield, Missouri.
Born on April 12, 1943, in Dover, Delaware, Diane was the daughter of Jack Wharton and Marie (Grace) Keith. She grew up in Dover and attended school there before pursuing higher education at Bible Baptist College in Springfield, Missouri.
On April 8, 1969, Diane married William G. Bainbridge. Their union marked the beginning of a life filled with devotion and shared purpose. As a supportive wife to an Air Force serviceman, Diane embraced the challenges and opportunities that came with military life. She worked in various places as they moved from station to station, always adapting with grace and resilience.
Diane dedicated over two decades of her professional life to H&R Block, where she was known for her diligence and commitment. Beyond her career, she found deep fulfillment in serving others through her church community. A devoted member of New Start Church in Springfield, Missouri, Diane gave generously of her time and spirit. One of her most cherished experiences was teaching English to Filipino students while stationed with her husband at Clark Air Force Base in the Philippines-a reflection of her heart for service and connection.
Family was central to Diane's life. She is lovingly remembered by her husband of 56 years, William G. Bainbridge; their children, Mary L. Bainbridge and Ben C. Bainbridge; grandchildren Chasidy Stark, Benjamin Bainbridge, Hannah McGath, and Jessica Bainbridge; and great-grandchildren Cash Bainbridge, Olivia Stark, and Ryker Putnam.
She was preceded in passing by her parents, and her brother, Jay.
Diane's legacy is one of faithfulness-to her family, to her work, and to the community she served so faithfully through her church. Her warmth touched many lives across the world as she followed her husband's military career with unwavering support.
A celebration of Diane's birthday and life will be held on April 12, 2026. Further details will be announced at a later date.
