Diane Lee Busing

Diane Breathitt Busing, 72, went to her heavenly home October 30th after a challenging and lengthy battle with dementia. She was born in Lakeland, Fl. on August 19th, 1953, the daughter of Ann and Harvie W. Breathitt Jr. She was a lifetime resident of the Lakeland area, a proud graduate of Auburn University, and a faithful member of Trinity Presbyterian Church for the past 25 years. Diane selflessly poured her life into family, community, and church. While dementia robbed her of a traditional grandmother role as of late, she cherished all five of her grandkids and played a pivotal role in the early stages of their lives.
She was preceded in death by her mother and father, and survived by her husband, Don Busing, brotherKen Breathitt, children Melissa Helm (husband Joel), Brian Busing (wife Jenny) as well as fivegrandchildren: Jackson, Layelle, Katy, Lucy, and Lee. A memorial service celebrating Diane's life will be held on Wednesday, November 5th, 2025 at 10:30 a.m. with reception to follow at Trinity Presbyterian Church, 301 N. Florida Avenue, Lakeland, FL 33801.
