Jack D. Busing, 77, of Elberfeld, Indiana, passed away on Monday, July 14, 2025. He was born on December 16, 1947, to Harold and Marjorie (Douthitt) Busing.
Jack was a graduate of Elberfeld High School in the class of 1965, which was the last graduating class from Elberfeld. He then attended the University of Evansville and Oakland City University. While growing up he attended New Jerusalem Church in Elberfeld. Jack loved spending time at the family’s businesses--Elberfeld Auto Sales Ford Dealership, owned by his parents and at Universal Tractor Sales in Evansville, owned by his grandparents.
Jack was self-employed at many various jobs through the years. He loved working, fixing, and improving all things mechanical, especially as they pertained to cars, which included racing in his younger years. He also loved sports, especially basketball and baseball. He took great interest in his grandchildren’s activities and sports.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his grandparents Roy and Helen Busing and Chester and Nola Douthitt.
Jack is survived by his devoted wife of 55 years, Rosalyn (Adler) Busing; son, Jeff Busing and his wife Amy; daughter Gina Schultz and her husband Tim, and two grandchildren Audrey Schultz and Erik Schultz. He is also survived by his brother, Lynn Busing and his wife Debra, nephews, nieces, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, and cousins.
A private visitation and funeral service will be held at Titzer Family Funeral Home with burial at Northview Cemetery in Elberfeld, Indiana.
