Diane was born on April 21, 1961 in Kansas City to Cynthia (Brokaw) Spencer and August A.
Spencer.
Throughout Diane's life after attending school at Fort Osage School District, she worked at
many various jobs. She took time off work to care for her Mother. She recently worked at
Costco with CDS as a product demonstrator. In life she was blessed with two children, Angela
and Sasha. She enjoyed shopping for shoes and purses. Her smile would light up the room.
Diane is preceded in death by her parents, Cynthia Southers and August Spencer; brother,
Bill Westmoreland.
She is survived by her two children, Angela Olson (Daniel) and Sasha Shaver; five
grandchildren; one great grandchild; siblings; Deborah Morris, David Spencer, Debra
Roberts, Brad Westmoreland, Barry Westmoreland; Mother, Jan Spencer; Aunt, Ellie Royal
and many other family relatives and friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Monday, October 17, 2022 from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at
First Presbyterian Church - Westminster Hall, 417 W Lexington Ave, Independence, MO
64050.

My heart goes out to you, Angela and Sasha. Your mother was delightful, a very good cook. and I will truly miss her. I worked with her at SAM's until she had to quit to take care of her mother. Unfortunately, I lost contact with her. God bless you all and your family. God bless the ongoing of Diane's soul, and may she rest in eternal peace.

Diane, I miss you and your daily phone calls. We had a lot of fun working together. Lots of laughs. It's just not the same working there now. You left a hole that will not be filled.
