William Keith Hahn, affectionately known as Bill, was born on January 22, 1933, in Independence, Missouri. He passed away peacefully on March 8, 2026, in Lee’s Summit, Missouri, gracing the world with his presence for 93 remarkable years.
Bill was a graduate of William Chrisman High School, following which he embarked on an impressive career at Sears, where he worked for over 40 years. His commitment and versatility allowed him to hold several positions throughout his tenure, showcasing his adaptability and work ethic. In addition to his professional accomplishments, Bill served his country honorably in the United States Army during the Korean War. This service was a significant part of his life, instilling in him values such as loyalty and resilience.
Bill was renowned for his generosity and spunky personality, coupled with a great sense of humor. He cherished visiting his loved ones and friends. An avid sports fan and history buff, he enjoyed the outdoors, often tending to his yard, or indulging in fishing, and traveling. Known as an amazing chef, he took great pride in preparing meals and had a particular fondness for cooking shows. Throughout his life, Bill demonstrated a compassionate spirit and commitment to service, volunteering alongside his wife, Linda, at the American Legion Post 21. His dedication was further reflected in his lifetime memberships at the VFW Post 1000 and DAV Chapter 2.
His passing is preceded by his parents, Arthur and Esther Hahn; his beloved wife, Linda Hahn; and his sisters, Betty and Jean Hahn. His legacy lives on through his son, Craig Hahn, his wife, Lori, and his grandson, Joel Hahn.
Bill’s life will be celebrated on March 13, 2026, with a funeral service held at 1 pm at Speaks Suburban Chapel in Independence, Missouri.
