Diane (Pribich) Costello was taken into the arms of Our Lord and Savior surrounded by her loving family and friends on June 28, 2025. She was born on December 6, 1944 to the late George (Jock) and Agnes (Bunny) Pribich in Massillon. Diane graduated from WHS in 1962 and was a proud member of the Massillon Tiger Swing Band. She married the love of her life, John, in 1964. Diane worked at Ohio Bell to help John finish college then enjoyed being a stay-at-home mom. Twelve years later, she took on the role of Executive Director of the United Way in Bucyrus, Ohio. In 1985, her family moved back to the Massillon area. She worked at NFM for over 20 years before retiring in 2007.
Diane was a lifelong member of both the Serbian National Federation and St. George Serbian Orthodox Church where she taught Sunday School and volunteered her time doing the Lord’s work. Her passions were being a great mom and a wonderful Buba to her granddaughters along with traveling the world, watching sports and going to the beach with her friends and family!
In addition to her parents, Diane is preceded in death by her husband John Costello, sister Lynnette Kennedy, and sister-in-law and brother-in-law Sarah and Mike Hillyer. She is survived by her children Kecia (Brian) Bullock and John (JJ) Costello, adored granddaughters Natasa and Isabella Bullock, brother Nick and bestie Molly Pribich, brother Ron and Mary Pribich, and best friends Steve and Karen Stohla, along with many nieces and nephews, especially her beloved Milica.
Diane lived her life devoted to her family and friends, her Orthodox faith and her Serbian heritage. Calling hours will be held 5-8pm July 6th at Paquelet Funeral Home located at 1100 Wales Rd., Massillon with a Pomen Service at 7:30pm. Funeral will be held July 7th at St. George Serbian Orthodox Church. Viewing will begin at 10am with Funeral Liturgy starting at 11am. Burial will follow in Massillon Cemetery.
