Diane Duncan, age 69, passed away Monday, April 29, 2024. A memorial service will be held at 11 AM, Monday, May 6 at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Alden. Visitation will take place one hour prior to service at church. Burial will be at Carlston Cemetery in Alden.
Diane Carol (Hanna) Duncan was born April 12, 1955 in Forest City, Iowa to Raymond and Betty (Hagan) Hanna. She grew up in the Emmons area and graduated from Lake Mills High School. On June 22, 1978, she was united in marriage to Joel Duncan at Emmons Lutheran Church. From this union, 2 children were born. The family made their home in Walters, MN until moving to Alden in 1984. Diane resided in Alden until the time of her death.
Diane was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church. She enjoyed growing flowers in her garden, painting and crafts, cooking, spending time with her family playing various games, traveling and, most of all, keeping up with her grandchildren and their various activities. She will be remembered as a caretaker, always putting other’s needs ahead of her own.
Diane is survived by her husband of 45 years, Joel Duncan; daughter, Jenny (Matt) Hendrickson; son Jud Duncan; grandchildren, Madison and Preston Hendrickson, Dane and Blake Richardson; mother, Betty Hanna; brother, Doug (Jenny) Hanna and extended family.
She is preceded in death by her father, Raymond Hanna; in-laws Hilly and Duke Duncan; brother, Denny Hanna; granddaughter, Karissa Joy Hendrickson.
