Diane Gaylor Obituary

Published by Legacy on Mar. 26, 2026.
Diane Melinda Gaylor, age 72, passed away peacefully, surrounded by loving family, leaving behind a legacy of love, strength, and kindness.

She was born on October 11, 1953, in Alamosa, Colorado, to Melvin and Cleo Gallardo. Diane later married the love of her life, Thomas Gaylor, and together they built a family rooted in love and devotion. Diane was a dedicated bus driver for many years and a faithful volunteer at Sacred Heart Church. She had a passion for gardening, loved to travel, and found her greatest joy in spending time with her family – especially her beloved grandchildren, Vinny, Olivia, Ashley, Marcus and Colin. She also enjoyed cooking, playing cards and listening to Northern New Mexico music, often dancing and sharing laughter with those around her. Known affectionately as "Dah" to friends and family, Diane was always willing to lend a helping hand. She will be remembered for her strength, kindness, loving spirit and wonderful sense of humor.

She is survived by her loving husband, Thomas Gaylor; her children, Lisa Renee, Steven (Dolly), Melanie Elaine and Charlie; her cherished grandchildren; sisters Glenna Archuleta (Jerry), Darlene Gallardo, Judy Ortega, brother Dean Gallardo and many extended family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Melvin and Cleo Gallardo, and her beloved granddaughter, Mercedes Salazar.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 28, 2026 at 12:00 P.M. at Sacred Heart Church. Diane will be deeply missed and forever loved.
