Diane Monti Grantham

Diane Astrid Monti Grantham, 81, of Wakulla, Florida, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 5, 2023. Diane was born on a Sunday on the 23rd of November in 1941 in Sea Cliff, New York and was passionate about the world and what it could offer her and her loved ones. Diane lived in Florida for almost 50 years (Lake Worth, Big Pine Key, and Monticello) and never missed an opportunity to put her feet in the sand and let the wind blow through her hair. Family was blessed to spend time with her before her passing and she was welcomed by those that predeceased her passing.
Her artistic talent, love of family, and passion for life showed in all that she did. Diane passed her passions onto her four daughters and her grandchildren. Diane found beauty in everything, a wave, a cloud, a bird, a child, a parent, even just a song. She painted nature, carved wood sculptures, worked in clay, learned to weld, had a beautiful signing voice, and played various instruments.
Diane was predeceased by her parents, William and Gladys Spencer; her ex-husband, John William Harrison; her husbands Keith Eugene Monti and Bobby Grantham. She is survived by her daughters: Mary Honor Vaughan, Jennifer Spencer Darnell, Sondra Carter Jarvis, and Heather Suzanne Schlottmann as well as eight grandchildren: Tiffany, Alex, Elijah, Rachel, Amanda, Ian, Hannah, and Eleanor; and four greatgrandchildren.
The heavens have gained another star that will shine brightly and change colors depending on mood. Our mother skipped down paths (when she stuck to them), held hands and gave hugs, she always had a smile for new friends while reminiscing with old friends. She bragged about her family while pushing us all to reach new heights. Although our days are a little dimmer with her gone, we can smile as we look up at her streaking across the sky making it beautiful.
