Diane Grosso, beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on March 21, 2026, at the age of 85, with her devoted daughters by her side at Highland Senior Living in Little Falls. A funeral service to honor Diane’s life will take place on Saturday, March 28, 2026, at 1:00 P.M. at First Lutheran Church in Little Falls, with Pastor Mavis Buker officiating. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. at the church. The burial will be held at Oakland Cemetery in Little Falls. In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to St. Croix Hospice: 3315 Roosevelt Rd Suite #400, St. Cloud, MN 56301 and Alzheimer's Association: 225 N. Michigan Avenue, Floor 17, Chicago, IL 60601. 

Diane Meral Yugovich was born on June 7, 1940, to the late Michael and Norma (Dahl) Yugovich. She grew up in the Nashwauk area, where she graduated from high school, excelling both academically and as a cheerleader. Diane and Jon were the Homecoming King and Queen their senior year of high school. After high school, she attended Hibbing Community College and Bemidji State University. Upon graduating with a degree in education, Diane and Jon were united in marriage on October 1, 1960, at Nashwauk Lutheran Church. In 1962, the couple moved to Little Falls, where Diane began her impactful career as an educator, teaching at St. Mary’s Schools and later receiving her Masters Degree in Education. Diane would dedicate the next 20 plus years to the Swanville School District. After her retirement, Diane and Jon embraced life with enthusiasm, exploring auctions, trips to the local casinos, collecting treasures, the couple enjoyment traveling during their retirement years.

Diane’s vibrant spirit was reflected in her energy for her love of dancing, playing bingo, engaging in local bowling and golf leagues, writing poetry, creating buttons for the Flyers girl basketball teams, practicing calligraphy and artsy crafts, and competing in spirited games of Scrabble. She took great joy in supporting her children and grandchildren at their various events, cherishing every moment spent with family and friends during annual 4th of July reunions and countless summers at the family cabin. She was an active member of First Lutheran Church helping out wherever needed. Diane and Jon enjoyed going to breakfast with church friends after Sunday services.

Diane is survived by her two daughters, Leanne (Kevin Silbernick) Grosso and Michelle (Joe Wiczek) Parker, both of Little Falls, as well as her cherished grandchildren: Samantha (Matt Preble) Parker, Tony (Amy) Parker, Dusty (Ashley) Parker, Courtney (Preston) Reinarts, Lance (Maari) Wiczek, and Leah (Ryan) Dainty. She will also be fondly remembered by her great-grandchildren: Leo, Margot, Hunter, Lucas, Bray, Nora, Mia, Jocelyn, Avery, Sophia, Cecilia, Janie and her beloved pet kitty.

Diane was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jon “Jack” Grosso; her son, Mark Grosso; and a grandson, Travis Grosso. 

Emblom Brenny Funeral Service is entrusted with the arrangements, cherishing the memory and celebrating the life of Diane M. Grosso. She will be profoundly missed, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and dedication to family and community.
