Diane Jean Hagar
Lebanon, NH - Diane Jean (Clough) Hagar, 74, of Lebanon, New Hampshire, passed away peacefully on November 13, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.
Born on July 19, 1951, Diane was a very strong and independent woman, known to her family for her strength and resilience. She lived her life with fortitude and determination, deep devotion, and a profound love for the people she held close. She raised her two daughters with her former husband, Ronald Hagar, in Enfield and later Lebanon, New Hampshire. Her strength carried her through life's hardest challenges, and her presence created a home that was safe and welcoming to those most dear to her.
Diane found joy in life's simple pleasures. She loved cooking for her family, relaxing with her favorite television shows, feeding and watching the birds outside her window, getting lost in a good book, and being surrounded by those she loved most. She also adored her kitties-Misty, Dakota, Heidi, and Daisy-and loved visiting her family's pets. Her warmth and joy for cooking, and her deep love for her family, will be forever missed.
She is survived by her two children, Sandee Shipley and Belinda Peavey (Ty Peavey); six grandchildren, Elizabeth Shipley, Kylie Peavey, Madison Peavey, Matthew Shipley, Cooper Peavey, and Brenee Shipley; and her great-grandson, Clayton Fogg, all of whom brought her tremendous joy. Diane also leaves behind her seven brothers and sisters: Bob Clough of Florida; Wendall Clough (Lorraine) of Grafton; Kathy Perrin of Orange; Frank Clough (Debbie) of Grafton; Betty Waddell (Richard) of Springfield; Michael Clough (Tina) of Claremont; and Billy Clough (Mary) of Florida; along with many nieces and nephews who loved her dearly.
She was predeceased by her father, Robert Clough, and her mother, Madeline (Wheeler Clough) Evans. Her family finds comfort in knowing that she is now at peace and reunited with her parents.
A private graveside service and a celebration of Diane's life will be held at a later date. An online guest book is available to leave Diane's family a message by visiting
www.rickerfuneralhome.com In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations in Diane's memory to the Humane Society of the Upper Valley. Animals were her closest companions throughout her life.
Diane's legacy of strength, resilience, independence, and love will continue on in the hearts of all who knew her.
