Diane Lee Howland (McGonis), beloved Mother, Grandmother, sister, Partner and friend sadly passed away September 18th, 2025. Born on October 4th, 1954, to Stanley and Joyce McGonis (Boucher) in Lebanon, New Hampshire. Diane lived a life filled with warmth, kindness and devotion to those she loved. Her Gentle spirit and infectious laughter touched everyone she met, leaving behind a legacy of love that will forever linger in our hearts.

Diane Grew up on Ora Avenue in Lebanon, New Hampshire and graduated from

Lebanon High School in 1972. Shortly after, she married her high school, sweetheart, David Leon Howland, also a Lebanon High School graduate. Together they built a life rooted in family and community. Diane dedicated 30 years of her career to New Hampshire Industries in Lebanon, showcasing her strong work ethic and commitment. Later she brought her caring nature to the Maynard house in Hanover, New Hampshire, Where she worked for nine years forming meaningful connections with residents and colleagues alike.

In 1980, Diane and David welcomed their daughter Jessica Lee Howland, who became the light of their lives. The family eventually settled down on Mascoma Lake in Enfield, New Hampshire, before moving to Lockhaven Road in 1989 where they created cherished memories with loved ones. Diane's home was a haven of warmth, filled with aroma of her delicious cooking-a talent she shared generously with family and friends. Her love for animals was evident in the care she gave to her beloved dogs Lexi and Lady, and any creature fortunate enough to cross her path.

Diane's favorite color, Purple, reflected her vibrant and joyful personality. Known for

her kindness and politeness, and fun-loving spirit she has a remarkable ability to make everyone feel loved, welcomed and accepted. Her laughter and genuine care for others left an indelible mark on her community. In 2018, Diane faced the profound loss of her husband, David. Despite this heartache she found companionship and love with her partner of seven years, Ralph Farnsworth Sr.

(Joe) of Lempster, NH, with whom she shared many happy moments.

Diane is survived by her devoted daughter, Jessica Lee Howland and her husband Matthew Cook, of Claremont, New Hampshire. Her cherished granddaughter, Olivia Rose and her step-grandson Kekoa Hale. She is also survived by her dear sister Debra Lahaye (McGonis) and her husband Harry Lahaye, both Lebanon High School graduates, along with their daughters Melanie Bertrand (Lahaye) and Holli Kenyon (Lahaye) also Lebanon High School graduates. Dianes memory will live on through numerous extended family members, family friends, colleagues and her loving partner Ralph Farnsworth (Joe).

Diane Lee Howland's life was a testament to the power of kindness and love. She will

be deeply missed but forever remembered in the hearts of those who knew her. A celebration of life will be held later, details to be shared by the family.
