Diane "Didi" Lynn Loch

March 11, 1951 - November 19, 2025

Diane "Didi" Lynn Loch, 74, of Saint Paul, Minnesota, passed away peacefully on November 19, 2025, surrounded by the people she loved most. Born on March 11, 1951, Diane grew up in a close-knit family and graduated from Washington High School in 1968.

Diane had a gift for making life more beautiful; not just through her sewing, quilting, and fabric art, but through the way she cared for others. Her quilts and mittens weren't just handmade; they were stitched with love, each one a warm reminder of her generosity. She found joy in baking for her family, sharing laughter around the table, and taking the occasional trip to Las Vegas for a little adventure.

Those who knew Diane will remember her as dependable and true to her word, with a laugh that could fill a room and a heart that welcomed everyone. She was the kind of person who showed up; for birthdays, for hard times, for everyday moments and made them better just by being there.

Diane is survived by her devoted husband, Gary Loch; brothers Thomas and James Longendyke; sister Jane Maki; and a large, loving extended family including sisters- and brothers-in-law Paula Longendyke, Theresa Longendyke, Duane Maki, Rick Lock, Tammy Lock, Joe Lock, San San, Bernice Lock, Ken Lock, Deanna Lock, Al Loch, Michelle Loch, Mary Jacob, and Bill Jacob; 28 nieces and nephews; 25 great-nieces and great-nephews; and one great-great-niece.

She was welcomed into heaven by her parents, Patricia and Donald Longendyke; parents-in-law, Urban and Dorothy Loch; and siblings-in-law LaVonne Spanier, Wally Spanier, and Renee Lock, and great-nephew Benjamin Spanier. A memorial service to celebrate Diane's life will be held on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, at 4:00 p.m. at Washburn-McReavy, 515 Hwy 96 W, Shoreview, Minnesota, 55126, with visitation from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m.
