Diane McCarthy Obituary

Published by Legacy on Sep. 18, 2025.
Diane Rita McCarthy, age 67, of Litchfield, Ohio, passed away on September 16, 2025, at Justin T Rogers Hospice Care Center, surrounded by the love of her family and friends.

Diane was the daughter of the late Eugene and Dorothy (Dorchie) McCarthy. She is survived by her sisters, Debbie Feuerstein, Jeri Kalamasz, and Sandy Rex; her children Erica (Matt) Brzoska and Michael (Ashley) Brzoska; and her cherished grandchild Gabriella, along with many beloved nieces, nephews, and dear friends who were like family.

She devoted her life to being a kind and compassionate nurse. Her latest endeavor as a nurse was working in Homecare with people with special needs. Some of the families she worked for truly became like family. One of her longtime clients, Austin, was there to greet her with his big, beautiful smile. Another long time client and family still kept in touch after her retirement. Kyle will miss her very much! She was a nurse for so long with this family, their one son, Zach, would say "Diane's home!" when she arrived for her shift, because to them she was family.

Diane simply loved family! Her two children were always her greatest accomplishments and she made sure people knew it. Spending time with family and friends was her favorite past time. She was always hosting the holidays, get-togethers, and Sunday dinners.

Her family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate staff at Seidman Cancer Center at UH and several local facilities at the Cleveland Clinic.

She also loved animals. So in lieu of flowers, she would have loved for you to make a donation to Muttley Crue Rescue CLE in her honor. You can Venmo a donation @MuttleyCrue or visit their website at www.muttleycruerescue.com.
