Diane McCoy, age 78, of Sioux City, passed away peacefully on September 11, 2025, at Unity Point Hospital surrounded by her family after a courageous battle with cancer.

A Celebration of Life for Diane and David McCoy will be held at Lincoln Valley Golf Course in State Center, IA on Friday, September 26th from 4 p.m. – 8 p.m. A meal will be provided.
Diane Maire (Harp) McCoy was born in State Center, IA to Marvin & Dorothy (Nolta) Harp on March 16, 1947. She graduated from West Marshall High School in 1965. In the summer of 1965 Diane married Danny Tuttle with whom she was blessed with three children, Pat, Jeff and Shelley.

Diane loved taking care of people and went on to get her nursing degree where she worked as a RN in various places such as Story County Care Facility, Iowa Veteran's Home in Marshalltown and finished her career with the Iowa Department of Inspections.

Diane moved to Nevada, IA where she would meet and marry David McCoy in 1994. Diane and Dave loved to socialize and spend time together with friends and family. They loved to golf, hunt, fish, bowl, play cards, and bingo together and enjoyed their cocktails. After retirement they relocated to Hermitage, MO where they enjoyed several years on Lake Pomme De Terre and later their acreage. They loved to travel the country in their RV and spent winters in Sebring, Fl and in AZ and TX also. Wherever their adventures took them, Diane loved meeting new people and cherished all her friendships near and far.

Diane's greatest joy in her life was her family. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Jeff (T.J.) Tuttle of Knoxville, IA, and Shelley (Darren) Watkinson of Sioux City, IA and her precious grandchildren, Stephanie Tuttle, Debra (Zach) Phippen, Katelyn Tuttle (Nathan), Dylan Tuttle (Delanie), Cody Tuttle, Jordyn Tuttle (Ryan), Kristyn Tuttle, Austin Davenport (Chelsea) and several great grandchildren which she adored.

She was preceded in death by her wonderful son Patrick, her beloved husband David, her parents Marvin and Dorothy and her precious sister Debbie.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Polk County Humane Society in Bolivar MO. (www.polkcountyhumanesociety.org) here she adopted her beloved dog, Baby, who is now being spoiled and taken care of by her great grandchildren.

A private family burial for Diane and Dave will take place at Hillside Cemetery in State Center on a later date.
