Diane (Hlad) Orr, 81, of Wilmington, NC, (formally of
Rutland, OH) went home to be with her Savior on December 1, 2025 in Wilmington. She was born October 22, 1944 in
Detroit, MI to Michael Hlad, SR and Juanita Schoonover (Hlad) Bolen.
She was a life long homemaker, raising her children and granddaughter. Diane devoted herself to her faith and family. She was kind, tender hearted and had a welcoming spirit. She loved Sunday drives, people watching and spending time with her loved ones. Her macaroni salad was a family favorite. Her granchildren loved traveling to spend time with her on the coast, nurturing a passion in them to travel and explore. She will be remembered for her love and devotion to her faith, family and the many volunteer opportunities and women's groups she participated in to support the call of the Lord.
Diane began her faith journey almost 50 years ago at a little church in Rutland of which she never wavered. She 'fought the good fight, and finished the race', 2 Timothy 4:7.
Diane is survived by her husband of over 33 years, Robert W. Orr, of Wilmington. She is also survived by her children, Randy (Sherri) Magers of Canal Winchester, OH and daughter Danyan (Ed) Collins of Reedsville, OH. Grandchildren Ashley (Jason) Dailey of Pittsburgh, PA, Merissa (Brad) Eley of Canel Winchester, OH, Wade (Aaron) Collins of Westerville, OH and Abigale Dyan (Caleb King) Collins of Columbus, OH. Great grandchildren Janey, Emily, Jake, Nick Dailey and Benson Eley. One brother Michael (Joyce) Hlad, JR of Palatka, FL and a niece Stephanie (Hlad) Ancona of Tampa, FL. She is also survived hy her step children Kevin, Kathryn, Bobby JR, and Jimmy Orr of NC and their families and brother in law William Odem of Virginia.
She was proceded in death by her parents, daughter Diana Magers, a brother Ed Hlad, stepfather Harold Bolen, and many aunts and uncles.
Graveside services will be held at a later date. An announcement will be made to notify family and friends. She will be interred at Standish Cemetery in Dexter, OH.
