Diane Perazzo Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Clayton Funeral Home, Inc. - Kings Park on Dec. 23, 2025.
In loving memory of Diane Perazzo

Diane Perazzo, 61, passed away peacefully on December 21st, 2025 surrounded by her loving family.

Born on May 13, 1964 in Baltimore, Maryland to Emily and Frank Perazzo. Diane was raised in Smithtown, New York. Her childhood was filled with many happy days laughing with her sisters Jeanne, Lucia and Adrienne. They listened to music, spent time on their boat, water skiing and fishing, and spent many fun hours with family and friends. At a young age her amazing artistic talent was apparent as was her love of animals.

Diane proudly graduated from Brown University, where she met her lifelong soulmate, Karl Jacob. Together they brought their dreams to fruition when they settled in Fort Salonga, New York, on a beautiful property. They built a barn for their many horses and planted breathtaking flowers. It was a true paradise. She cared for 5 horses (Rocky, Danny Boy, Eddie, Rookie, Dryden), 5 dogs(Max, Mushu, Casey, Carly, Walker), and 7 cats (Casper, Rosie, Harry, Ang, Bao Bao, Mei Mei, Pumpkin).

Diane worked for 35 years as a software engineer and manager. Her work took her to beautiful Ventura California for several years, a place she truly loved, and which she happily shared with family and friends.

Diane lived a full and meaningful life. She traveled on Alaskan and Caribbean cruises, attended many concerts, and enjoyed having fun with friends and family at casino resorts. She planted lovely gardens of peonies, dahlias, day lilies and roses. She was an extraordinary baker, never afraid of a challenge. Diane and Karl were avid horse lovers, having both ridden in dressage competitions.

Diane loved her family and friends with her entire heart, especially her nieces and nephews. They only knew love and loyalty from her presence in their lives. She was their biggest supporter and there was nothing she wouldn't do for the people she loved.

During her battle with illness, she was a fortress of strength and dignity, never complaining or feeling sorry for herself. She fought courageously everyday and left her loved ones with a memory of admiration for her strength and bravery. Diane is survived by her partner Karl, her parents Emily and Frank Perazzo, sisters and their husbands Jeanne and Eric Kramer, Lucia and Paul Sedzia, Adrienne and John McCreesh, nieces Michelle and Kaleigh, and nephews Matt, Evan, Michael, Andrew, Dylan, Logan, and Evan.

Diane was so easy to love. She is irreplaceable, unforgettable, and will be missed forever.

Diane's beautiful soul shines on.

I sat across from Diane on the 18G project for several years. She later became a Homeroom Manager. Diane was a pleasure to work with - always friendly and warm, and a total professional. My deepest condolences to her partner and her family. I'm truly sorry for your loss.
