Diane Petree

In heartbroken sorrow, we announce that Diane Roark Petree went to meet her Lord and Savior

on December 22, 2025. Her family cherished her dearly and she will be deeply missed.

Diane was born on February 10, 1954, in Kentucky and grew up as a coal miner's daughter with

a large family. She then made her way to Union County Tennessee in 1968.

Anyone who knew Diane, knows she was dedicated to her family first. She had a fierce and

protective love, was giving, and a blessing to those she brought into her circle. Diane was a

strong and brave woman, she had a kind caring heart, and would help anyone. She had a special

connection with young people.

Diane worked over 10 years in the Union County Schools. She especially enjoyed being around

the school's At-Risk Students, where she felt she could make a difference in young people's

lives.

Douglas Petree, Loving Husband of 52 years; Brian Anthony Roark, Son (Charity); and Brian

Anthony Roark II, Grandson

Siblings: Mixie Roark; Phyllis (Tim) Rowen; and James (Jimbo) Roark (Kelly)

Special Nephew Greg Ivey; and many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles

The family will receive friends at 11:00am on Tuesday, January 6, 2026, at Trinity Funeral Home.
