Born in Philadelphia, she was a daughter of the late Robert Joseph and Bertha Hornung Popow.
She is survived by her children, Jason Hernandez, of the Poconos; Nicole Spinosa, Philadelphia; Lisa Smith, Maryland; Adam Popow, Philadelphia; Jerry Popow, Philadelphia; and Angela Popow, Scranton; nine grandchildren; a sister, Maryann Hesse, Taylor; an aunt, Alfreda Assman, Philadelphia; two nieces, Jennifer Hesse and partner, Vinny Tsantker; and Michele Lahey and husband, Paul; stepmother, Cindy Popow, Florida; and nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was also preceded in death by a brother, Robert Joseph Popow, Jr.
In accordance with her wishes she has been cremated. Friend and family may call Saturday from 4 to 5:30 p.m. at Neil W. Regan Funeral Home Inc., 1900 Pittston Ave., Scranton. A funeral service will be celebrated by Chaplain Paul Leonard of Traditional Hospice at 5:30 p.m.
