Diane Posternack

Diane Posternack (nee Ruttenberg) passed away peacefully at home on September 21st, 2025, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She was 86. Beloved wife of the late Melwyn Posternack, she is survived by her children Jill (Leon), Gary (Iris), and David (Whitney), her sister Susan (Kevin), and her grandchildren Melanie (Ben), Michael, Maia, Ava, Madalyn, and Charlie.

Diane was an extraordinary mother and devoted grandmother who loved her family fiercely and cherished her role as the matriarch. She was among the first women to be admitted to the University of Pennsylvania and went on to build a fulfilling career, serving for over 35 years as head of human resources at JEVS, one of Philadelphia’s leading social service agencies.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, September 25th at 11am at Goldsteins' Rosenberg's Funeral Directors, at 516 Fayette Street in Conshohocken, PA. Friends and family are warmly invited to share memories, stories, or words of tribute in honor of Diane during the service. Immediately following, the family will host a luncheon at Diane's home. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to honor her memory with a gift may donate to 1 Love 4 Animals, an animal rescue shelter close to her heart.
