Diane Sangillo Obituary

Published by Legacy on Aug. 17, 2025.
Diane I. (nee DeFeo) Sangillo age 75, of Garnet Valley, PA, passed away peacefully on August 3, 2025. Born on August 11, 1949, in Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of the late Dr. William T. DeFeo, DDS and Thelma "La-La" Longo.

Diane was a devoted wife, mother, and Mom-Mom whose life was centered around family. She shared 40 loving years of marriage with her late husband, Richard Sangillo, and together they created a home filled with warmth, laughter, and unconditional love.

A dedicated and accomplished entrepreneur, Diane built a remarkable career as a top-producing, award-winning residential realtor for more than three decades. Her passion and tireless work ethic extended to every venture-co-owning and operating the beloved Sangillo's Farm Fresh Produce and Deli Market with her husband, brother, and sister-in-law, and previously running a successful lighting and décor business with her stepfather for over 20 years.

Devoted to her children and grandchildren, Diane never missed a moment to cheer them on-whether in the classroom, on the sidelines, or behind the scenes. Throughout their school years, she was a constant presence: organizing events, chaperoning field trips, and proudly serving as advisor to her daughter's high school cheer team. In later years, she brought that same spirit of leadership and care to her community, serving with pride and purpose as condo board president.

She loved the beach, summers at the Jersey Shore, and hosting Thanksgiving surrounded by family. Known for her fabulous cooking-especially her crabs and spaghetti, meatballs, and holiday favorites-she also enjoyed reading, playing cards, and spent many years bowling alongside friends. Most of all, she cherished time with loved ones, sharing laughter, meals, and meaningful moments.

She is survived by her loving children, Janine Graff (Michael) and Richard Sangillo; and her cherished grandchildren, Jackson and Tyler Graff, and Joelle Sangillo. She is also survived by her brother, Dr. William DeFeo Jr., DPM (Karen); her sisters, Jill DeFeo Stone and Jeanne DeFeo Wolfe; her stepmother, Judy DeFeo; her brothers- and sisters-in-law; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, and extended family. She held her entire family in her heart and loved them deeply. She was predeceased by her parents; her sister, Debra DiPalma; her stepfather, Salvador Longo; and her loving husband, Richard Sangillo.

Relatives & Friends are invited to her Viewing Friday morning August 8th; 9:30 a.m. – 11:15 a.m. followed by her Funeral Mass 11:30 a.m. ALL IN CHURCH at St. Thomas the Apostle Church. 430 Valleybrook Rd, Glen Mills, PA 19342. Entombment Sts. Peter & Paul Garden Mausoleum.

Aunt Diane was a selfless woman who was an exemplary wife, mother and daughter that was an impeccable cook/hostess with an infectious laugh and that forever popped collar. She lit up the room. I pray for our Lord´s peace and comfort to be in your hearts during this difficult time.
Much love,
Tiffany and Joe Kearney
