Diane Patricia Saxman, age 83 of Leonidas, passed away on November 6, 2025 in Three Rivers, after battling a long illness. She was born in Chicago, IL the daughter of Henry and Anne (Szczerba) Brandys. Diane attended Factoryville Bible School, Athens Schools, and Colon High School, where she was part of the 1960 graduating class. Diane would then marry Darel Saxman, they would later divorce. She was a member of the Snow Hog Snow Mobile Club, where many stories were created over the years. During the blizzard of 1978, she helped her neighbors and family with her snowmobile, getting people out of their homes and grabbing essentials for those in need. Diane enjoyed snowmobiling in Baldwin, Cadillac, the Upper Peninsula, and at her family cabin in Kaleva. Diane loved knitting, making afghans that she would gift to those closest to her. While she was knitting, Elvis or the daily soap opera would be playing in the background. Diane was loved her little community and would often help at the hall during election time.

Diane is survived by her three children; Vicky Williams, Mike (Melissa) Saxman, and Edward Saxman; six grandchildren; Krystal, Nikolas, Samantha, Michael, Ashley, and Logan; eleven great-grandchildren; two siblings; Barbara Wilhelms and Steve Brandys; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family. She was preceded in passing by her parents; Henry and Anne Brandys; her former husband; Darel Saxman; and her brother; Robert Brandys.

In keeping with family wishes, cremation is being conducted. A private family gathering will take place at a later date. Condolences and memories may be expressed to her family at eickhofffuneralhome.com
