Diane Shoemaker Obituary

Brodhead, WI - Diane Shoemaker, age 77, passed away at SSM Monroe Hospital on August 24th, 2025. She was born on August 10th, 1948 to parents Dale and Jewell Nelson in Beloit, Wi. She worked at Besly Wells where she met Gary, they married in September of 1967, She worked at the Parkview Elementary School as a teacher's Aide for many years. She was also a 4-H leader that taught counted cross stitching. She worked at the Orfordville Library as assistant Librarian for many years. In June of 2004 her and Gary purchased Schultz Power Equipment in Beloit which is now run by her Two sons. After she retired, she occupied her time with spending time with her grandkids, reading books which she loved doing and watching her favorite baseball team the New York Yankees. She loved music from Tom Jones, the Eagles, and the Bee Gees. Diane was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and aunt. She is survived by her Husband Gary, sons Jeff (Pam) Shoemaker, Greg (Amanda) Shoemaker, grandson Gerrad (Amy) Shoemaker, grand daughter Paige Shoemaker, brother Bruce (Cheryl) Nelson, Sister Susie Berger, nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents Dale and Jewell Nelson and brother in laws, Ralph Berger and Dennis Shoemaker. Private burial services were held. There will be a public celebration of life at a later date. Dl Newcomer Funeral home is assisting the family. https://www.dlnewcomerfuneralhome.com/
