Diane Carol Stefaniak 06/25/1948 – 05/25/2025
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Diane Stefaniak, who left us on May 25th at the age of 76. She was born on June 25th in Detroit, MI to Robert and Lucille Belz. She passed away peacefully surrounded by her husband and children.
Diane was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend who devoted her life to her family. She is survived by her husband Michael, children Sandra (J.D.), Michelle, Steven (Lisa), Deborah (Steven), grandchildren Alexander (Caitlyn), Ellen, Jacob, Leah, Lillianna, Rosslyn, Elaina, Eleanor, Laura, Henry, William, Brayden, Guinevere, Matthew, brother Robert (Mary) and sister Patricia (John), and is preceded in death by her father and mother, Robert and Lucille, and her daughter-in-law Annette.
Throughout her life, Diane was known for her love of golf, sewing, reading, a clean car, and bothering her husband. Not only as a strong independent woman, she also selflessly gave her time and energy to support her loved ones whenever needed. Her and her husband were partners with multiple businesses throughout the Detroit community, spanning four decades. In later years they enjoyed the quiet serenity of their 6 acres in Richmond where many fourth of July parties were hosted with family and friends.
A celebration of her life will be held on Friday, May 30, 2025, at Lynch & Sons in Oxford. Viewing will be at 1pm, service at 4pm. Lynch & Sons Funeral Directors is located at 39 West Burdick Street, Oxford, MI 48371. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be sent to the Volunteer Department at Henry Ford North Macomb Hospital.
She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
