Diane Sugamosto (née Toccalino) passed away peacefully on November 8, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on July 3, 1949, in Detroit and graduated from Ladywood High School in 1967.
Diane was an avid reader, a fan of a wide variety of musical genres, an animal lover (especially cats), and an exceptionally talented baker and cake decorator. Her mind and heart always remained open to learning, and she lived a life of selfless devotion to her family and friends.
In 1971, Diane married the love of her life, Ken Sugamosto. Together they shared 54 beautiful years of marriage. Her deepest joy was raising her two sons, Jeff (Rachel) and Derek, encouraging their creativity and humor, while embodying the very meaning of boundless love and support.
She also dearly loved being an aunt to Shawna Toccalino, Natalie (Dean) Turk, Tony (Christine) Rodriguez, Rachel (Ben) Ginnard, Mitchell Rasak, Josh (Allie) Toccalino, Samantha (Abbas) Ahmad, Matthew Rasak, and Gina Toccalino; and step-grandmother to Lexi and Ciera Geary.
Diane is survived by her beloved husband, Ken; her sister Ann (Matt) Rasak; sister-in-law Brenda (Chuck) Crete; cousins Lisa (Jack) Gillary, Linda (Duke) Schneider, and Joe (Kris) Fornasiero; and a close group of friends who were like family to her. She was predeceased by her parents, Mondo and Gwen; brothers Greg and Michael; and sister Joanne.
Visitation will be held on November 13, 2025, at O'Brien-Sullivan Funeral Home 41555 Grand River Novi, MI, from 3:00 until 8:00.
A celebration of her life will be held 11:30 am Friday, November 14, 2025, at the funeral home
