Diane Tummons Obituary
Diane Ericson Tummons, age 84 of Hendersonville, passed away February 15, 2025. Diane was born in Detroit, Michigan on June 20, 1940 to the late Carl and Clara Ericson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Joyce Horvat.
She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Don Tummons; children, Mark Tummons (Meriam) of New Johnsonville, Traci Akin (Carey) of Dallas, GA, and Mike Tummons (Melanie) of Hendersonville; grandchildren, Matthew Tummons, Mallory Tummons, Sam Tummons, Alex Tummons (Kaylan), Claire Tummons, Ryan Akin (Hope), Allie Akin, and 5 great-grandchildren.
Diane was an avid reader and she also loved to travel. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who will be deeply missed by her family.
Visitation with the family will be on Wednesday, February 19, 2025 from 10:00 A.M.-12:00 P.M. at Sumner Funeral & Cremation Lakeside in Hendersonville. Diane’s family will have a private celebration of life.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
