KALIDA -- Diane H. (Kemper) Verhoff, age 67, passed away peacefully on July 18, 2024, surrounded by those who love her, after a courageous battle with metastatic breast cancer. Her unwavering faith and resilience in the face of adversity were a testament to her invincible spirit.
Born on April 16, 1957, Diane dedicated her life to caring for others. Along with raising four daughters, she worked for many years as a nurturing babysitter, where her compassionate nature made her beloved by many families. Later, she transitioned into a career as a dental hygienist for Dr. Thomas Siefker, where her colleagues became like family.
Her strong personal faith was a cornerstone of her life, guiding her through the joys and challenges she faced. Diane was a devoted member of Kalida St. Michael's Catholic Church. Her faith provided her with immense strength and comfort, especially during her illness.
She is survived by her husband, Tom, her daughters, Heidi Verhoff, Audrey (Brian) Beining, Emily (Adam) Chevalier and Molly (Jake) Kersh, and her grandchildren, Mason and Hallie Beining, Henry, Dylan, and Leo Chevalier, and Garrett and Mara Kersh, who were the light of her life, as well as a special friend, Nancy Martin who was like a daughter, and her family: Mike, Madelynn, Sophia, Isabella and Noella. Also surviving are seven siblings: Jan (Bill) Vonlehmden, Rita (Larry) Krienbrink, Marcia Herring, Karen (Ron) Bonifas, Joe (Ruth) Kemper, Dave (Judy) Kemper and Beth (Jeff) Clay, as well as six siblings-in-law: Gloria (Jim) Carr, Becky (Paul) Rosengarten, Deb (Jim) Bockrath, Tim (Deb) Verhoff, Ted (Cheryl) Verhoff and Sharon (Chuck) Smith. Her legacy of love and selflessness will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Mary Kemper, and a sister Patty Romes. Also preceding her in death are her mother and father-in-law, Ralph and Dolores Verhoff, and brothers-in-law: Dale Meyers and Dave Herring.
A funeral mass will begin at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, July 22, 2024 at St. Michael's Catholic Church, Kalida with Fr. Phil Smith officiating. Burial will take place at a later date. Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 21st from 2 to 8 p.m. and again on Monday, July 22nd from 9:15 to 10:15 a.m. at Love-Heitmeyer Funeral Home, Jackson Township.

So sorry to read/see that Diane has passed. I didn't get info until I went to on-line newspaper accounts today. Please know that she and the whole family are in my thoughts and prayers. She, her folks, cousins etc. are now having the biggest reunion in the great beyond with all the heavenly hosts.
