Diane Marie Yacobucci-Rais, (nee Conant), 68, of Coconut Creek, FL; passed away on
Wednesday, October 9, 2024, at Northwest Hospital in Margate Florida.
Diane Marie Rais, daughter of the late O'Neil Conant and Virginia Davis Conant was
born on March 7, 1956, in Rochester, New York. She spent most of her childhood in Ohio and
graduated from Avon Lake High School in 1974. Diane was a sincere servant of Jesus Christ,
whom she devoted the last years of her life to serving in various ways through her local church.
She was a faithful church attendee, friend, neighbor, and lovingly served those in and outside
the church.
Diane loved flowers, butterflies, birds, rainbows, and God's beautiful creations which she
frequently marveled about and spoke. She was also an avid artist and had a fondness for
painting florals. Diane loved angels and was known for her large collection of them in her home.
Diane was well known for her fervent love for the color blue, which she chose to paint her whole
home in varying shades. Her husband Avi would affectionately say, "She blue me away!" when
guests commented on the painted blue walls in their home.
Diane was an active member of Calvary Chapel Church out of Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
She spent many Sundays ministering inside the "King's Kids" room, where she joyfully served
and helped with the special needs children's ministry. Diane also donated meals, groceries, her
time, and love to those in need.
She is survived by her husband of 37 years Avi Rais; children Angela Maynard (Ken) of
South Amherst, OH, Michelle O'Brien (Mike), of Amherst, OH, eleven grandchildren, a brother
Craig Conant (Darlene, deceased) of Casa Grande, AZ, a sister Linda McKinley (Pat) of Avon
Lake, OH, a sister Lisa Lipphard (Bill) of Centreville, MD, and many nieces, nephews and
friends.

the Avon Lake United Church of Christ, 32801 Electric Blvd. with Reverend Kelly Brill presiding.

Leeta chery

November 3, 2024

My name is Leeta and I had the honor and privilege to serve with Diane in the King´s Kids Ministry at Calvary Chapel in Ft Lauderdale. There are so many stories to be told about this incredible, Amazing, Loving God Fearing woman, but what I will cherish forever is the time that we the volunteers from King´s Kids organized an evening to spend time together away from serving, so we decided to go "Bowling ". So happened, the day that was agreed upon and set happened to fall on Diane´s Birthday which also is her wedding Anniversary. I didn´t know that she loved flowers, but I know that I do, and I thought to myself "who doesn´t like flowers "? Anyway God put it in my heart to get her flowers, so I went and got her one of the biggest bunches of Tropical flowers that I could find and one of my friends got her a cake.Although she and Avi didn´t participate in the Bowling activities, they had fun looking at us miss and messed-up while bowling. It was a fun evening. We had Pizzaand drinks also. We sang Happy Birthday to her and had stick the cake,( which I heard was Amazing). But what I remembered most is the happiness and joy that I felt when I was getting the flowers for her, and I told my husband that I just prefer to give flowers to people while they are still with us, because you just never know, and I´m so so glad that I did that. She was surprised and very happy and I´m very grateful that we had that experience together as a "Church Family ".
