Diann Kay Hoffman

Diann Hoffman, age 76, of Crooks, passed away on March 20th, 2024, in her home surrounded by loved ones. A celebration of her life will be held at the Minnehaha Funeral Home in Dell Rapids, on Tuesday, March 26th, with visitation from 4 to 6:00 PM, followed by a Service of Remembrance at 6:00 PM.
Diann was born to Donald and Donna Moad in December of 1947 in Brookings, SD. In 1965, she married the love of her life, Jerry Hoffman. After raising three daughters, Diann was employed at Citibank for 29 years. She was the consummate decorator; her home was magazine perfect. She was an avid reader, always with a hardback book and a cup of coffee by her side. Diann's greatest joy were her nine grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren, who lovingly referred to her as Mamo. In her eyes they could do no wrong, naughty, or nice, they often heard her say, "Bless your heart."
Remembered for her kind and gentle nature, she will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. She was as sweet as the chocolate covered cherries that she kept hidden just for herself! Diann is survived by her husband Jerry Hoffman; brother Jerry (Sheryl) Moad; daughters: Jody (Matthew) Stork, Stacy (Monte) Claussen, Kelly (Brian) Gaalswyk; grandchildren: Nicholas Van Liere, Kaitlyn (Riley) Austin, Daniel (Anna) Stork, Josh and Caleb Stork, Chelsi Hoffman, Breanna Hanson, Dominic Cartagena, Lexie (Tyler) Palmer; great grandchildren: Myles Hanson, Talyn Brown, Millicent & Frederick Austin, Jayda Burns, Kane & Crue Myers, Easton, Paxton & Oaklyn Palmer, and Graycen Halstead. Also mourning her loss are sisters-in-law: Paula Platz, Mary Jo Hoffman, and Lona Hoffman; brother-in-law, Tom (Kim) Hoffman, and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, in-laws La Verne and Madeline Hoffman; brothers Doug and Kevin Moad; sister-in-law Sharon Moad and brother-in-law Bill Platz; grandsons Brach and Cody Van Liere.
Every bite of Pizza King pizza, a Nick's hamburger, or a chocolate covered cherry will be a reminder of how much she loved them and how much we loved her! Rest in peace, sweet Diann.
