Dianna Lynn McLaughlin

Dianna Lynn McLaughlin, 75, passed away at her home in Albert Lea, MN on Tuesday April 15, 2025. A Celebration of Life will be held at noon, May 3, 2025 at the Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Home in Albert Lea, MN. A visitation will be held an hour prior to the service. Pastor Kaleb Hurley will be officiating.

Dianna was born on June 15, 1949 to Joseph and Twila Richter in Sioux City, Iowa. Dianna moved to California and attended Monte Vista High School. It is there she met James Paul McLaughlin Jr. They were married and had one child together. After James' passing, she married Douglas Brazil and they happily raised their three children; Tamera, Jack and Joe together.

Dianna loved to go bowling, spending time on the Colorado River in Arizona, and going to her recovery meetings. She bowled many perfect 300 games, and loved to waterski. She enjoyed a good game of cards, with her favorites being Hand and Fist, and 1000. She would take her friends to lunch at Perkins and Pizza Ranch, and to any hospital appointments they might have. When she wasn’t busy, she could be found planting tomatoes, singing karaoke, or being the bingo caller at the Senior Towers.

Dianna is survived in death by her significant other of 28 years, Jerry Beaty. Children Tamera Lynn McLaughlin, Jack Brazil, and Joe (Natalie) Brazil. Grandchildren Lacy (Josh), Trisha (Beau), Bryan, Kara (Danny), Austin (Reyna), Jacqueline, Emily (Justin), Caroline (Logan), and Sara. Great-grandchildren Esteven Joshua, Jeremiah, Jessenia, Shayann, Nate, Xavier, Gloria, Justin Jr, Cataleya, and Josiah, along with many nieces and nephews.

Dianna is preceded in death by her parents Joseph and Twila, her grandparents and her sisters.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff at St. Croix Hospice, along with Pastor Kaleb and the staff at Hope Church for all the care they gave to Dianna.
