Dianne Ayers Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Greene Funeral Home - Downtown Chapel on Dec. 2, 2025.
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Dianne J. Ayers, who departed this life on November 29, 2025, at the age of 75. Born on April 25, 1950, in Rock Hill, South Carolina, Dianne was a beloved daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, and friend who touched the lives of everyone she met.

Dianne was the cherished daughter of Ralph B. and Emma Ruth Jennings, and she was preceded in death by her beloved parents and a dear brother, Bennie Jennings. She is survived by her loving husband of 36 years, Johnnie N. Ayers, along with her devoted brother, Ted H. Jennings. Dianne's legacy will continue through her son, Thomas Scott Smith (Emily), and her stepchildren, Johnnie Ayer (Katheryn) and April Webb (Richie), as well as her treasured grandchildren: Jordan, Eli, Johnnie, Jaden, Justin, and Jared.

Dianne's life was characterized by her unwavering love for her family and friends. She had an outgoing personality that was infectious, always greeting the world with a smile. Dianne loved life and enjoyed every moment spent with her loved ones, particularly on trips to the beach that filled her heart with joy. Her easy-going nature and ability to find happiness in simple pleasures made her a source of comfort and warmth to all who knew her.

A graduate with an associate degree, Dianne dedicated 40 years of her life to serving the community through her work at York County Natural Gas in Rock Hill, SC. Her commitment to her job was a testament to her strong work ethic and dedication to making a positive impact in the lives of others.

Dianne's kindness extended beyond her family and work. She was actively involved in her community and faithfully attended the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints with her husband, Johnnie. In lieu of flowers, her family asks that donations be made to the missionary fund at the Church, a reflection of Dianne's faith and the love she shared with others.

A celebration of Dianne's life will be held on December 4, 2025, at 11:00 AM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, located at 1883 Saluda Road, Rock Hill, SC 29730. The family will receive visitors prior to the service from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM, welcoming all who wish to pay their respects and share in the joy of Dianne's life.

Dianne J. Ayers will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her spirit will live on in the hearts of her family and friends, reminding us all to embrace life with love, laughter, and kindness. We take comfort in the cherished memories we hold and the legacy of love she leaves behind.
