Dianne Bankston, 72, of Waco, Texas passed away peacefully on June 17, 2025. She was born on July 17, 1952, in Prince George’s County, Maryland, and was raised by her loving parents, Buford and Annie Bankston. She graduated from Theodore Roosevelt High School in San Antonio, Texas. Dianne was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She found joy in being a stay-at-home mom and housewife.
Dianne is survived by her children, Wendy (Larry) Skopik, Christy (Christopher) Laseter, and Jackie (Cowboy) Beard, and grandchildren Jennifer (Keith) Price, Lauren (Gustavo) Gonzalez, Meagan Skopik, Matthew (Breanna) Skopik, Keith (Marian) Skopik, Britney (Tyler) Lanford, Steven Bohn, Darrell (Raelin) Jones, Alyssa Bohn, David Laseter, Joseph Bohn, Raniya Laseter, and Cheyanne Beard, and great grandchildren Anastasia, Owen, Noah, Jillian, Roseanna, Arabella, Josephine, Maverick, Hazel, Mavis, Miles, and Mason.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Annie L. Moore Bankston, father, Buford B. Bankston, son, David Brian Zick, and husband, Elton Bankston.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 3pm on Sunday, June 29, 2025, at Chalk Bluff Baptist Church 5993 Gholson Rd, Waco, TX 76705 with Dr. David Tate officiating.
The family would like to thank Hewitt Rehabilitation and Wellness Center, nurse Michelle Fleming, and hospice for taking such good care of our mom. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made toward funeral arrangements.
