Dianne Lynnette Hertzner was born June 23, 1971 and fell asleep in death surrounded by family on March 23, 2024 after a long brave battle with a chronic kidney disease.

Dianne was adopted as an infant and was immediately blessed with loving parents, Francy and Bob Johnston, later connecting with her biological parents, Cecilia and Bob Mchoes. Through her childhood this would add a cascade of loving step-parents, siblings, and a great multitude of loving family.

Dianne fell in love with the neighbor boy, George, who would hop the fence daily to see her. These childhood sweethearts would then marry on November 4, 1989. Side by side over the next 34 yrs they built a beautiful life that also included raising two incredible children.  Dianne’s relationship with Lynnzee and Logan was so special, it was the epitome of the saying “There’s no love like a mother’s love.” She was the constant in her children’s life and an absolute rock. She was blessed with a daughter-in-law and son-in-law which became both family and friends.  She trusted that her children would be taken care of and loved by them. She was gifted two handsome grandsons, Braxton and Beckett, that gave her much joy. These boys were Dianne’s light that lit her path even on the darkest days.

She loved her friends. Dianne was an inspiration to us all, handling everything with grace and strength. She proved to be an amazing person no matter what she encountered in life. Being a fun loving person you enjoyed just hanging out with or taking a memorable getaway trip.   She only focused on the  good qualities of her friends that also became like family in her heart, mind and actions, and we certainly loved her back the same. It is a privilege to have known this faithful friend.

She loved her God, Jehovah. Nothing was more apparent than her loyalty and faith in him, believing in his LOVE and PROMISE to remember her and resurrect her back to life with no more suffering or pain. She lived it by example in every decision she made, along with inculcating that hope in her children, as they persisted in being outstanding advocates during her most critical moments.

Dianne truly lived with a a warrior spirit, she faced every battle with fortitude and determination.
She stayed calm during even the most intense situations as her heart beat remained true and steady, while proudly wearing her large shield of faith, and taking refuge in the only true God.

We are confident that Jehovah will grant us the ability to endure this loss just as he helped her to remain steadfast in service to him until the end. We look forward to seeing beautiful Dianne again as a healthy servant of Jehovah one day very soon. Dianne will be missed but never forgotten.

Dianne is survived by her two children, Lynnzee (Seth) Flamang; Logan (Julia) Hertzner; her two grandson’s Braxton and Beckett Hertzner; her mother and stepfather Francy and Robert Nason; her father Bob Mchoes; stepfather Arlen Aumann; siblings Brandon (Jackie) Nason, Jamie (Stacey) Nason, Kimberly (Randy) Johnston, Renee (Mark) Macias, and Victor Macias; along with countless aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Dianne is proceeded in death by her husband of 34 years George Hertzner; her father Bob Johnston; and her mother Cecilia Aumann.

There will be a joint funeral service held for George and Dianne Hertzner on Saturday, June 8, 2024 at Williams Tree Farm, 4661 Yale Bridge Rd. Rockton, IL 61072. Visitation will begin at 2:30pm with a funeral talk to follow at 3:30pm.
