Hello, I´m Lisa, Annee´s daughter, and I am speaking today on behalf of my brothers David, Michael and myself. How does one encapsulate the life of a woman like our mother, Annee, in just a few minutes? It´s an impossible task, but with the guidance of God and our mother´s unwavering encouragement, here I stand attempting to do my best. The best way I can think of doing this is to use our mother´s name ANNEE (A-N-N-E-E) as an acronym for the way she lived her life and how I feel she would have liked to be remembered.
A: Obviously the letter A can only be used for the word ART. Our mother was an artist in every sense of the word. Life was her canvas and she shared her art generously and effortlessly with the world around her.
N: The first N in our mother´s name is for Nurturing. Mom was there, always, fully present and attentive in our lives, not only as children but also as adults. Our Mom´s nurturing was loving, supportive, creative, fun, warm and affectionate. It´s because of our mother´s nurturing that we are who we are today.
N: The second N in our mother´s name gets 2 words. No Nonsense. What I mean by this is, yes, our mother could be silly, fun-loving and unconventional, but when it came down to it, Annee was as down-to-earth as they came. What you saw was what you got. You always knew where you stood with our mother. She was deeply loving but didn´t sugarcoat things, ensuring that my brothers and I were well-equipped to navigate life's challenges with resilience and maturity.
E: The first E in our mother´s name is for Eccentric. This may seem like a dichotomy from no-nonsense, but Annee was the perfect balance of both. Our mother was not afraid to trail-blaze ideas, stand out, think outside the box and follow her own passions. Our mother was unique, exceptionally creative and authentic.
E: The last E in our mother´s name is for Evergreen. The dictionary states that an evergreen person is someone that is timeless, enduring, and always relevant. I can´t think of a better word, well, that starts with E, that encapsulates the legacy, life lessons and everlasting love that Annee has left for us all.
Annee Marie Hertzner; you were a devoted wife of almost 57 years, a loving mother of 3, a doting grandmother of 3, a sister, an aunt and a friend. We love you, Mommy, and you will live in our hearts and precious memories forever and ever.

Annee Hertzner was a talented individual who left an impression on everyone who knew her. Her artistic skills, particularly in painting, showed her creativity and ability to bring ideas to life. Known for her dry sense of humor and quick comebacks, she always added a spark to conversations. Her home was a welcoming space for family and friends, and her knack for creating meals from whatever was on hand was unforgettable. Annee will be missed by all who knew her.
