Karen Ehrenworth

Karen (Reynolds) Ehrenworth, born on July 4, 1955, in Norfolk, Virginia, found her eternal peace on March 21, 2026 in Vero Beach, Florida.

Karen was a kind and loving soul who brought much happiness to those who had the good fortune to know her. She enjoyed gardening, loved music and was an avid nature photographer. In 1968 Karen represented Virginia as its winner in a national essay contest for young people expressing what it meant to them to be born on the fourth of July, a birthday she was proud to share with the nation.

Karen was a 1973 graduate of Norview High School and was employed in the Finance Department of the City of Norfolk for more than twenty years.

Karen is survived by loving family members including her father, Francis Hammond Reynolds, sister, Denise Reynolds Sanderson and brother, Jeffry H. Reynolds as well as extended family and friends. Karen was predeceased by her husband Dr. Edwin Ehrenworth, her mother Claire M. Reynolds, her brother-in-law Keith W. Sanderson, her maternal grandparents William and Anna Murphy and her paternal grandparents, James and Frances Reynolds.

A funeral service will be held at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel, 8464 Tidewater Dr., Norfolk, VA 23518 on April 8, 2026 at 1:30 p.m., followed by a burial at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Norfolk.
