Celebration of Life Services for Dianne (Herley) Kent age 83 will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 10, 2025 at Snider Memorial Funeral Home in Clearwater, Nebraska with Pastor Bruce Phillips, officiating. Burial will be in Clearwater Cemetery. Visitation will be 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 10, 2025 at Snider Memorial Funeral Home in Clearwater. Dianne passed away on November 2, 2025 at her home in Bentonville, Arkansas. Snider Memorial Funeral Home in Clearwater is handling the arrangements. God was sitting behind those heavenly gates and He told the angels what the choir needed was a good Soprano. The angels said "that would be Dianne Kent”. God sent for Dianne and she answered the call. she is now singing with the angelic hosts of Heaven.
Dianne was born in Ewing, Nebraska at her grandmother Wegner's home on July 11, 1942 to Lowell & Esther Herley. She grew up in the Clearwater, Nebraska community attending school with 8 classmates who started kindergarten and graduated from High School together. She was Salutatorian of her 1960 graduating class. She attended Lincoln General Hospital School of Nursing in Lincoln, Nebraska.
In March 1961, Dianne was united in marriage to Denton Kent. They move over the years to Omaha, Pender, and North Platte, Nebraska, Loveland Colorado and finally landed in Bentonville Arkansas. where she was provided employment opportunities for her love of working in the medical profession. Dianne worked in the fields of Family Practice, Ophthalmology, Pediatrics and Urology and also achieved a Certified Medical Assistant Degree (CMA She retired in 2010 after 47 years in the medical profession.
Dianne loved music and singing from grade school operettas to high school choral groups and was in many years of band activities. She was active in music ministry of her church over the years. She was a member of Bella Vista Lutheran Church in Bella Vista, Arkansas until she lost her sight from Giant Cell Arteritis. Diannes favorite color was purple and she also enjoyed crafts, needle work, traveling, and camping activities.
Dianne was preceded in death by her parents, Lowell and Esther Herley and her brother, Roland L. Herley. And her Beloved furbaby Annie.
She is survived by her husband, Denton W. Kent of 64 years, one Son Scott (Vickie) Kent of Waukesha, Wisconsin, Daughter Kelly Kent of Bentonville, Arkansas, bonus daughter Jennifer Knigge. grandsons Alexander Kent (Katie) of Waukesha, Wisconsin and Mitchell Kent ( Brenna) of Fort Worth, Texas. Granddaughter Amber (Tyler) of Pineville MO and nine great grandchildren.
