Diego Vicente Lucas

Diego Vicente Lucas of Central Falls passed away suddenly on the morning of September 17, 2025 following an accident at his workplace. He was 49 years old.

Diego was born in Quiche, Guatemala on April 15, 1972, son of Francisco Vicente Morales and Michaela Lucas Ajanel. He immigrated to the United States from Guatemala in 2016, settling in Central Falls. With a work ethic that was second to no one's. Diego prided himself on the quality of his work as a laborer in the construction field, most recently in the roofing business.

The simple things in life made Diego happy. He loved having coffee and bread, listening to music and spending time with his family. There wasn't a care in his world and he made sure to remind everyone of this with the words, "don't worry about it". He enjoyed his life and those around him enjoyed Diego.

Diego is survived by his wife Normaydee Vicente. He was the proud father of Francisco Vicente, Diego Vicente, Francisca Vicente, Teresa Vicente. Diego was the beloved grandfather of Sophia Chavez and Cacleia Fernandez. Mr. Vicente is reunited with his son, the late Josue. He was the loving brother of Vicente, Fransica, Maria, Sara, Candelierla, Antonio and the late Lucas and Candelierla.

Visiting Hours to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend will be held from 4-7pm on Wednesday September 24th in the Charles Coelho Funeral Home 151 Cross St. Central Falls, RI. A funeral service will be celebrated in the funeral home at 7pm. Burial will take place in Quiche, Guatemala.

Diego Vicente Lucas de Central Falls falleció repentinamente en la mañana del 17 de septiembre de 2025 luego de un accidente en su lugar de trabajo. Tenía 49 años.

Diego nació en Quiché, Guatemala el 15 de abril de 1972, hijo de Francisco Vicente Morales y Michaela Lucas Ajanel. Emigró a los Estados Unidos desde Guatemala en 2016 y se estableció en Central Falls. Con una ética de trabajo que no era insuperable a nadie. Diego se enorgullecía de la calidad de su trabajo como obrero en el campo de la construcción, más recientemente en el negocio de los techos.

Las cosas simples de la vida hacían feliz a Diego. Le encantaba tomar café y pan, escuchar música y pasar tiempo con su familia. No había ninguna preocupación en su mundo y se aseguró de recordárselo a todos con las palabras "no te preocupes por eso". Disfrutaba de su vida y los que lo rodeaban disfrutaban de Diego.

A Diego le sobrevive su esposa Normaydee Vicente. Fue el orgulloso padre de Francisco Vicente, Diego Vicente, Francisca Vicente, Teresa Vicente. Diego fue el amado abuelo de Sofía Chávez y Cacleia Fernández. El Sr. Vicente se reúne con su hijo, el difunto Josué. Era el hermano amoroso de Vicente, Fransica, María, Sara, Candelierla, Antonio y los difuntos Lucas y Candelierla.

El horario de visita, al que los familiares y amigos están cordialmente invitados a asistir, se llevará a cabo de 4 a 7 p.m. el miércoles 24 de septiembre en la funeraria Charles Coelho, 151 Cross St., Central Falls, RI. Se celebrará un servicio funerario en la funeraria a las 7 p.m. El entierro se llevará a cabo en Quiché, Guatemala.
