Dina "DD" Hurtado

Dina "DD" Hurtado, 67, passed away on December 26, 2025. She was born on July 7, 1958 in Pittsburg California. She was a proud resident of Contra Costa County. Resided in Byron. She is survived by her sister Diana Hurtado, son Ryan Hurtado, and grandson Lucian Hurtado. Dina was a bright soul, an absolute pinnacle of positivity, the true definition of a fighter. She would always go out of her way to help others. She loved spending time with her family and friends near the ocean, especially places like Half-moon Bay, Fort Bragg, and Pacifica. Dina was a dedicated employee at Bay Area Temporary Sanitation. She loved her coworkers and customers; she treated them all like family. Dina was also a proud member of Relay For Life in her community. But most of all, Dina was the best grandma ever. She had a twinkle in her eye every time she saw her "sweetheart" Lucian. She enjoyed every second of every minute she spent with him. A funeral service will be held on Friday January 30, 2026 at Holy Cross cemetery starting at 10am; followed by a celebration of life at Shadow Lakes Golf Club at 2:30 pm.
