Dinah Lee Ming passed away peacefully on December 13, 2025, at her home in Bakersfield, California, surrounded by her loving family and her beloved dog, Wagy.
Dinah was preceded in death by her parents, Sam and Fanny Lee Seitz, and by her devoted husband of 59 years, Tharrell Ming.
Born in Bryan, Texas, Dinah built a life defined by love, service, and quiet strength. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, and her family was always at the center of her world. She is survived by her sister, Bee Gee Millinich; her four children, Michael and Michele Ming, Garrett and Elizabeth Ming, Francie and Joe Barnett, and Thomas and Amy Ming; eleven grandchildren, Lauren, Emily, Russell, Megan, George, Madeline, Dinah, Luke, Michael, Molly, and Robert; and eight great-grandchildren, all of whom were a constant source of pride and joy.
Dinah lived an active and engaged life. She was an avid tennis player, golfer, and bridge player, but her greatest passion was gardening, where she found both peace and purpose. Her love of community was reflected in her involvement with numerous organizations, including the Junior League, Mercy Hospital, and the Town & Country Garden Club.
Dinah will be remembered for her warmth, kindness, and unwavering dedication to her family and community. Her legacy lives on in the many lives she touched and the family she nurtured with love.
With gratitude, the family thanks Dr. Luis Cousin for years of wonderful care and Father Theo for his loving spiritual support during Dinah's final days.
Funeral services will be held on December 23, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Francis Church in Bakersfield, California.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the St. Francis Church Prayer Garden Fund in Dinah's memory, or to a charity of your choice.

Dinah was the epitome of a strong and gracious woman. Her smile was a beacon of light. She was true to her principles. She was kind and supportive to so many peoples...family, friends and acquaintances. The world has lost a beautiful and compassionate woman. I offer my condolences to her family.

Dinah was all class and a lady of principles! She wanted the best for people and always chose the path of dignity! No body loved their family more than Dinah Ming. Rest in peace Dinah and thank you for being a great role model for all of us kids who grew up around you.

Terry Rowe, Dinah´s nephew, and Lillian Rowe offer our deepest condolences to our dear cousins on the loss of your sweet and wonderful mother.
Terry remembers Dinah from his childhood days and the kindness and warmth that she always gave to him. This kindness continued throughout his life and extended to me when I met Terry in 2012.
Dinah treated me like a niece from day one which I greatly appreciated having lost most of my family. Her love and kindness was exceptional.
We will always remember when she´d say, "I love, love, love it!" Love you Aunt Dinah!
