Dr. Dinker Nawathe passed away peacefully, reunited in spirit with his beloved wife, Mrs. Suman Nawathe, who preceded him in death. Together, they built a life rooted in love, resilience, and deep devotion to family, creating a legacy that continues to guide generations.
Born in India to Mr. Ramchandra Nawathe and Mrs. Rukhma Bai Tambe, Dr. Nawathe's life journey reflected courage, adaptability, and dedication. He moved to Nigeria for his professional work, where he built both career and community, before later relocating to the United States to be closer to his children. He first settled in Nashua, New Hampshire, and later made his home in
Clarksville, Tennessee, where he spent his later years surrounded by family and love.
Dr. Nawathe is survived by his children, Dr. Chanda Nawathe, married to Dr. Pradip Mishra, and Mr. Waman Nawathe, married to Mrs. Swati Nawathe. His children and their spouses were the pride of his life and a reflection of the values he and Mrs. Nawathe instilled.
He was a devoted and loving grandparent to his four grandchildren: Dr. Ravi Mishra, married to Mrs. Uma Srivastava; Dr. Prabodh Mishra, married to Mrs. Swati Midha; Mrs. Priyanka Nawathe, married to Mr. Jon Tan; and Mr. Nishant Nawathe. Each carries forward his legacy of integrity, compassion, and perseverance.
Dr. Nawathe was also a cherished great-grandparent to Reyan, Rajveer, Riya, and Bhoomi, whose presence brought him immense joy.
Dr. Dinker Nawathe's life was defined by deep family bonds, quiet strength, and enduring love-especially for his late wife and the family they built together. His journey across continents and generations stands as a testament to a life well lived. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
Visitation will be Thursday, February 17, 2026 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm in the Chapel of Neal Tarpley Parchman Funeral Home.
