Dionne Riley

Our modern-day Dorcas of the bible, who was selfless and dedicated herself to affectionally serving others.
Dionne Riley was born on February 12, 1979, twenty-eight minutes after her twin Deidre Riley, to the late Alvin and Delverna Riley at Bethesda Hospital in Boynton Beach, Florida. Dionne grew up in the beautiful city of Delray Beach where she attended the Palm Beach County schools and in 1997, graduated from Atlantic Community High School in Delray Beach. Just before her passing, Dionne obtained her Associate of Arts degree from St. Johns State College and was looking forward to enrolling in the school's Nursing program.
Dionne had a bubbly personality and attracted many special friends in her life. She worked for several years in customer service, where she was noted for her affectionate smile and excellent customer service. Numerous doors were opened to her because of her willingness to serve others, which positively impacted many lives. In 2007 Dionne accepted Christ as her savior and joined the Resurrection Life Fellowship Church of God in Delray Beach. She excellently served in many ministries there including, the welcome, evangelism, music, and hospitality ministries. In 2021, she relocated to the city of Jacksonville and continued serving in ministry at the Church of God Sanctuary of Praise where she was loved and adored as a songbird.
Dionne's greatest accomplishment was raising her two beloved sons, Kevin, and Ryan. They were her pride and joy. They enjoyed laughing, cooking, singing and even learning together. They were an inseparable three. Dionne was committed to raising her sons in the wisdom of God, and in a church, which became their village. She was blessed to see her sons grow, not only physically but spiritually, into wonderful men of God. They are strong in their faith, and she was pleased and delighted to call them her sons.
Dionne was preceded in death by her father, Alvin Riley, and her mother, Delverna Riley. She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her two dear sons, Kevin, and Ryan Riley: siblings, Brenda Davis, Linda Porter (Brunswick, GA), Shelia Butler (Jacksonville, FL), Herbert Alvin Riley Jr (Delray Beach, FL), Stephanie Lynn Johnson (Atlanta, GA) and Deirdre Riley, her twin, (Atlanta, GA). She will be missed by her goddaughter, Jeniya; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and so many special friends.
