Dixie Bayless Obituary

Dixie Bayless, 85, Washington, passed away Saturday, June 28, 2025.

Dixie, the daughter of the late Marlin Lane and Rachel Frankie nee Twilley, was born June 9, 1940, in Gid, Arkansas. She was a 1958 graduate of Bakersfield High School. On Aug. 17, 1963, she was united in marriage to Gerald Bayless at Tatum Chapel Baptist Church in rural Springfield, Missouri.

Dixie is survived by her husband of 61 years, Gerald Bayless; her two sons, Steven (Janet) Bayless, Camdenton, Missouri, and Mark (Julie) Bayless, Washington; grandchildren Elane (James) Ennis, Jamie (Dillon) Payne, and Kathrine Crider; and one great-grandchild Benjamin Ennis. She is also survived by her sisters Linda (William) Swadley, Carol (James) Cook, and Gaye Arnett, and many nieces, nephews and friends.

A visitation will be held from 10-noon, Saturday, July 12, at Nieburg-Vitt, Miller Funeral Home, Washington.
