Dixie Dormann, 86, of Oshkosh passed away November 6, 2024 at the Garden County Health Services Nursing Home.
Cremation has taken place and services will be held in the spring.

Dixie Lee was born October 13, 1938, in Chappell, Nebraska to Dessie Redwine. She attended school in Chappell and graduated from Chappell High School in 1956.
In 1956, she married Ronald Dormann and to this union 3 daughters were born: Rhonda, Cristy and Kerri. While raising her daughters, she worked various jobs in the Chappell, Sidney, North Platte and Oshkosh area. In North Platte she began her career with Kwik Stop. After she retired from Kwik Stop she began working for Valley Tire in Oshkosh for the next few years.
She had a great love for animals and her grandkids and great grandkids. She enjoyed decorating for the holiday and Husker and Bronco football.
She is survived by her daughters, Cristy Amen of Chappell and Kerri (Gary) Gortemaker of Oshkosh; 6 grandchildren, Andy (Kristie) Amen, Amy Jo Amen (Quinten Sctripter), Camie (Gene) Golding, Melissa Wilson, Desarae (Chris) Martin and Tye Gipfert; 9 great-grandchildren; son, Chad (Michelle) Dormann and their family; cousin, Karen Dormann and family; and many other extended family members and friends.
Dixie was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, James and Anna Saddler, daughter, Rhonda Gipfert; son-in-law, Scott Amen, grandson-in-law, Trent Wilson and special friend, Danny Dahlkoetter.
