UNION, WV – Dixie Kirby Miller, age 84, passed away on Friday, November 21, 2025, at the Lindside Healthcare Center in Lindside, WV. Born March 16, 1941, in Union, WV, she was the daughter of the late Holly and Zola Weikle Kirby. Dixie worked as a librarian at the Monroe County Public Library and enjoyed knitting in her spare time. She loved the Lord and was a member of the Union Church of God. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Scott Morgan; sister, Betty Kirby; and brothers, Kenneth and Eddie Kirby.

Survivors include her daughter, Kathy Patton of Vinton, VA; son, Stanley Morgan of Vinton, VA; two grandsons, Joe Patton and Louis Morgan, both of Vinton, VA; one great grandson, Keagan Patton of Vinton, VA; three brothers, Winifred Kirby of Ballard, WV, Jack Kirby of Rock Camp, WV, and Bob Kirby of Lewisburg, WV; two sisters, Joyce Arthur of TN, and Sue White of GA; special friend, Elby Lephew; and very special friends, Donna and Gary O'Neill and their family. Additionally, the family would like to give a special thanks to the Staff at Lindside Healthcare for their wonderful care during Dixie's time there.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00PM on Monday, November 24, 2025, at the Groves-Mann Funeral Home in Union, WV, with Pastor Mike Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Hermon Baptist Church Cemetery in Sarton, WV. Visitation will be held from 11:00AM until time of services on Monday at the funeral home.
