Dixie Schroeder Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Wilderness Funeral Home & Cremation Services - Chinook on May 13, 2025.
In loving memory of Dixie Leigh Schroeder, fondly known as "Diz", who was tragically taken from this earth on May 7, 2025. Dixie was born on June 16, 1989 in Livingston, MT, to Fritz and Helen Schroeder. She spent her childhood in Harlem, MT with her mother, sister, maternal grandparents, and cousins. She graduated from Turner Public Schools in 2007 before moving to Havre, MT. Dixie had a fierce passion for animals and worked diligently to better every animal's life she encountered. She welcomed those around her to help in making this world a cleaner and better place. Dixie had a deep love for nature and always took the chance to be out in it, preferably with a furry friend. Due to a wild and beautiful imagination she loved to write and draw, often in various genres. Dixie was a soul that was not afraid to express herself through various energies and always encouraged the people in her life not to be scared to do the same. Dixie is survived by many families and friends. A graveside service will be held at the Harlem Cemetery on May 30, 2025, at 4 p.m. with a reception to follow at the St. Thomas Catholic Church. Arrangements have been entrusted to Wilderness Funeral Homes. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the animal rescue organization of the givers choice to ensure Dixie's efforts and love of animals may continue to grow.
