Dixie Stever Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by John M. Ireland & Son Funeral Home and Chapel on Apr. 17, 2025.
Dixie Lou Stever, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on April 15, 2025, at the age of 92. Born on March 3, 1933, in Texas, Dixie was the cherished daughter of the late Walter and Ollie Williams.
Dixie was a bright spirit whose warmth and generosity left an unforgettable impression on everyone she met. Known for her loving and fun personality, she was the kind of person who always remembered the small things others might overlook-and made everyone feel special. Her home was the heart of the family, especially during holidays and birthdays, where laughter, love, and the aroma of her delicious home cooking filled the air.
She had a deep appreciation for the simple joys of life. Dixie loved painting, gardening, crafting, traveling, and sipping wine in good company. Her love for country music, especially favorites like Garth Brooks and Willie Nelson, filled her days with melody and meaning. A seafood lover and a wonderful cook, she found joy in preparing meals that brought her family together.
Dixie graduated from high school in Odessa, Texas, and went on to work at Western Electric in the mid-1960s. She retired after dedicating around 30 years to the company, a testament to her strong work ethic and loyalty.
She is survived by her sister, Dorothy Lee Smith; her children, Carolyn Beavers of El Reno, OK; Charles Gail Logan of Tuttle, OK; and Chester Allen Logan of Tuttle, OK. Dixie was also blessed with 10 grandchildren, as well as numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, all of whom were the light of her life.
She is preceded in death by her daughter, Charolotte Pendley; her son, Ronald Logan; her husband, Joe Stever; her parents, Walter and Ollie Williams; her brother, Vernon Williams; her grandson, Stacy Pendley; and her great-grandson, Jeremy Logan.
Dixie's love, kindness, and joyful spirit will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. She touched so many lives and will be dearly missed, but her legacy of love, laughter, and family will remain eternal.
