ABBEVILLE - A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, July 11, 2025, at Vincent Funeral Home of Abbeville honoring the life of Dodie Hardy Harrington, 43, who passed away on July 8, 2025, at the Calcutta House. Deacon William Vincent will officiate at the funeral service. Burial will follow at St. Paul Cemetery. Those serving as pallbearers will be Trent Harrington, Tony Hardy, Chris Hardy, Mike Hardy, Pat Hardy, and Luke LeBlanc.
A visitation will take place at Vincent Funeral Home of Abbeville, 209 S. Saint Charles St., Abbeville, on Friday, July 11, 2025, from 9:00 AM until the time of services.
Dodie was an incredible mother, a devoted wife, and the brightest light in every room she walked into. Her loving spirit will always be remembered and we'll carry her light with us always.
She leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Trent Harrington; daughters, Meah Lege and Mikka Harrington; stepdaughther, Tristyn LeBlanc and her husband, Luke and their son, Colt; father, Tony Hardy and his wife, Michelle; sister, Hannah Hardy; father-in-law, Al Harrington; sister-in-law, Jade Harrington Smith and her partner, Jessica; Godmother, Charlotte Cessac; Godfather, Mike Hardy and his wife, Janise; uncles, Chris Hardy and his wife, Kim, and Pat Hardy and his wife, Liz; aunts, Robin Hardy, Kelly Hardy, and Christine Broussard; and numerous cousins, relatives and friends who loved her.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Trudy Segura Hardy; sister, Trisha Hardy; maternal grandfather, Loua Segura; maternal grandmother, Margaret Segura; aunt, Tina Segura Saunier; paternal grandfather, Minos Hardy; paternal grandmother, Ruby Pierce; step grandmother, Neva Hardy; uncles, John Hardy, David Hardy, and Tim Hardy; and her childhood best friend, Nicole LeBlanc.
The family wishes to extend a special thanks to Bridgeway Healthcare & Hospice, and Hospice of Acadiana's Calcutta House, for the excellent care they provided to Dodie during her final days.
