Doil Gay (Gillman) Miller, 69, of
Colliers, West Virginia, was received by her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on the night of March 27, 2026. She passed away due to complications related to Lewy Body Dementia (LBD).
Born on June 7, 1956, in
Holden, West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Henry Gillman and Jewell Irene (Mullins) Gillman.
After graduating from Lenore High School, she married her high school sweetheart, Bobby Miller. The newlyweds moved to the Northern panhandle of West Virginia to build their life together.
Doil was a homemaker and beloved mom of 4 children who took great pride in caring for her home and family. While raising her children, she spent her free time working odd jobs and helping friends in need. She had a true servant's heart and found joy in others' happiness. She taught us compassion, kindness, and unconditional love - all by example. We owe her so much!
Doil was a 40-year member of the Promise of Victory Church of God where her presence could be felt through her willingness to serve. She was passionate about the Ladies' and Children's Ministries. She dedicated much of her time to organizing events, dinners, and fundraisers. She offered her helping hands, her heart, and her quiet strength to all those around her.
After being a full-time mom, Doil started working at Sam's Club. Throughout her 20 years there, she held a variety of positions. She had a warm and welcoming personality and became a familiar face to many. Doil approached her work with dedication and kindness, leaving a lasting impression on both coworkers and customers alike.
Doil cherished her loved ones deeply and encouraged family gatherings, where we created memories filled with games, laughter, meals, and most of all, love.
She embraced new people and experiences through travel, from adventures in Australia to road trips in her home state. Doil spent many summers camping at the lake with close friends, enjoying boating, volleyball, and cooking over an open fire.
At home, she found peace and happiness tending to her flowers and garden, taking great pride in the beauty she created in her yard and home. She also loved music, dancing, puzzles, pecan pie, Chinese food, yard sales, and flea markets.
Above all, Doil will be remembered for her genuine loving spirit, her dedication to her faith, and the simple joys she found in life's everyday moments.
Survivors to cherish her memory include her husband of 52 years, Bobby Miller; her four children: Dreama Thompson (Glen); Alysia Miller (Walta Belai); Jennifer Reagan (Lawrence); and Justin Miller (Danielle McCready). She is also survived by eight grandchildren: Jordan, Destinee, Desarae, Isabelle, Dominic, Adrianah, Liliana, and Gianna; four great-grandchildren: Jaedan, Jordan, Brantley, and Conor; with another great-grandchild on the way, Kai Ja'Ron.
She leaves behind four siblings: Drema Dempsey (Ronald); Rita Dempsey (Dale); her twin brother, Darrel Gillman (Sandra); Michele Gillman, many nieces and nephews, and lifelong friends Terry and Mary Kinser.
