Dola Rachel Lude (nee Wease) of High Ridge, Missouri, was born on March 31, 1937, in Adena, Ohio, to Roy and Grace (nee West) Wease. She entered into rest on Saturday, November 23, 2024, in
Cedar Hill, Missouri, at the age of 87 years.
Dola lived a life filled with faith, love, and devotion. She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Grace; her first husband Robert Lloyd and her second husband Dale Lude, her son Brian Lloyd, her son-in-law, Donald Bourbon; her precious grandchildren, Matthew Benear and Rachel Benear; and eleven cherished siblings who she now joins in eternal peace.
She is survived by her loving children, Robert (Crystal) Lloyd, Debra Bourbon, Mark Lloyd and Bruce Lloyd who were her pride and joy; her treasured grandchildren, Alexandria Lloyd, Derrick Lloyd, Adam Lloyd, Hope Lloyd, and Pam Lloyd, each of whom held a special place in her heart; her adored great-grandchildren, Adriane, Jacob, Luke, Victoria, Olivia, and Jada, who brought her endless happiness; and a host of extended family and friends who were blessed by her kindness, compassion, and generosity.
Dola was the heart of her family-a matriarch who lived to serve, love, and uplift those around her. She was a deeply spiritual woman whose steadfast faith in Christ guided her every step. Known as the family's "scriptural guide," Dola was a source of wisdom and encouragement, helping her loved ones find strength in scripture and hope in their daily lives. Her strong Christian values and unwavering trust in God were a beacon for all who knew her.
Her warmth and nurturing nature were boundless. Dola was known for her welcoming home and open heart, where friends became family, and love was always in abundance. A long-time member of Morse Mill Baptist Church, she dedicated her time to her faith community, finding joy and purpose in service and fellowship.
Dola was a woman of quiet grace, yet her presence left a profound impact on everyone she met. She had an incredible ability to make those around her feel seen, valued, and loved. Her hugs were healing, her laughter contagious, and her wisdom timeless.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 29, 2024, from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at Chapel Hill Mortuary, 6300 Highway 30,
Cedar Hill, MO 63016. A Funeral Ceremony will follow at 3:00 p.m., with interment immediately afterward at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in
Cedar Hill, MO.
